The position is based in Denver, Colorado and is designed to allow a combination of onsite and remote work based on the needs of the areas managed, the CEOs, & position responsibilities. Flexibility is a must as this may change on a moment’s notice.
Budget: $108,000-$150,000/Annually

Specific Areas of Oversight at Effective Date:
Lending (Consumer/Business/Mortgage) and Collections

Responsible for the management and execution of the programs, processes & third-party relationships needed to develop and meet established credit union goals and objectives for Lending and Collections. Direct and indirect, consumer, mortgage and business loan underwriting, processing & servicing, and all collection activities.

Role:
Reporting directly to a CEO, the executive is responsible for assisting the credit union CEOs in the overall management and success of the credit union. Partner cross-functionally with peer executives to develop, implement and lead the comprehensive growth strategies and goals needed to meet the business plan objectives as set by the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:
Contribute to the ongoing administration and the success of the credit union through collaboration
with and support of the CEOs. Utilizes the Credit Union Vision, Mission, Brand and Business Plan as the compass to design, lead and implement the projects plans and actions needed to contribute to the overall success of the credit union. Collaborate with and support peer executives to insure alignment
of all key credit union initiatives.

Remain abreast of current market trends and operations, to include but not limited to, market rates, pricing, policies, products and providing updates and recommendation to the senior leadership team. Monitor the competition and be aware of how we compare with rates, products, service and other programs or offerings.

Directs and monitors the activities and performance of area(s) of responsibility. Attract, retain, and develop the high-performing teams and external resources needed to impact the ability to meet business objectives. Responsible for the development and leadership of short-term and long-range department area projects and plans. Define key performance metrics (KPIs) to monitor and assess team performance. Ensure clarity around priorities and goals for vendors and staff.

Responsible for forward thinking and proposal development for the programs and resources needed for area(s) of responsibility to be successful in meeting the defined objectives. Establishes a budget for areas of responsibilities, ensures that budgeted goals are achieved, and cost objectives are met. To collaborate with and support peer leaders in achievement of the same.

Represents the Credit Union and cultivates healthy relationships with members, sponsor organization(s), strategic partners and vendors, government agencies, other financial institutions, professional societies, and similar groups in support of the credit union mission.

Remain abreast of regulatory changes impacting credit union policy or procedure. Ensure that departments and responsibilities and activities are carried out in compliance with NCUA, local, state, and federal regulations and laws and policies governing all areas of responsibility. Responsible for bringing recommendations to and drafting updates when policies, procedures or norms are outdated or are no longer relevant to best serve and protect the credit union membership. Ensure effective internal controls within area of responsibility are in place and followed.

Actively leads, plans for, and actively participates in credit union committees as deemed appropriate. This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Experience: Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.

Education: A college degree.

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.

Technical Skills: Data reporting & data analytics. Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel including, pivot tables, formula writing, query, pivot tables & Pivo Highly adaptable to a multitude of software programs and websites.

Other Skills: Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting all areas of oversight. Extensive knowledge of Consumer, Commercial, Real Estate lending and collections practices and procedures. Proficient knowledge of and adaptability to all software programs utilized in the successful execution of the role.
