Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist Role is structured as Hybrid Remote and Onsite Role.
The position draws on marketing skills and experience and creativity to support the credit union brand and marketing initiatives. Position will have a specialized focus on communication, social media, and educational content.
Payrange for the role is $52,728.00 - $64,281.98.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Assist with the management of social media including reporting on performance and monitoring of comments to be forwarded to management personnel.
Support marketing and brand consistency through content delivered via Jostle, virtual meetings, and/or in-branch visits.
Plans and creates educational content across channels with a special focus on video content, for website and social media channels to support credit union goals with measurable engagement and lead generation for operational staff.
Plans for and creates education and outreach communications via email, website, or other marketing channels to support education and outreach goals.
Provides educational and outreach assistance when appropriate.
Performs administrative duties in support of the department including ordering, distribution, editing, updating content, and other duties as required in support of department plans and objectives.

Required Skills/ Knowledge
Ability to apply the knowledge gained from previous education and experience to interpret, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations as appropriate for the position within assigned functional area. Ability to think critically about campaign systems.
Language Ability
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read write and interpret business & financial reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before members, potential members and employees of all levels of the organization.
Math Ability
Ability to work with mathematical concepts as applicable to the position. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Certificates and Licenses
Certification correction: CUNA Financial Counselor Certification obtained within 6 months of employment. Certification must be maintained and renewed in good standing during employment.
4-year College degree or equivalent in experience + coursework.
Three to five years of similar or related experience and a minimum 2 year industry specify experience.
Work Environment
This position is a hybrid position that requires remote work from a location conducive to the credit union’s remote work agreement, and on-site work from a branch or partner location. This position requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate specific education and event support needs.

Essential duties are performed in a general office work environment and regularly require sitting and standing at a workstation/desk while completing paperwork or using computers, calculators, copiers, and other business office machines and equipment, Essential duties may also involve occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, walking, crouching, stooping, and lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store supplies or various office equipment, as directed. Performance Measurements
To plan, research, and create educational content in collaboration with other Marketing and/or credit union personnel to be used across media channels for the promotion and measurable growth of the credit union.
To maintain financial education expertise to ensure accurate advice and information are presented to members and the community. This will be done through the CUNA Financial Coaching Certification Program. This is to be completed within 90 days of hire.
To support financial education classes and financial coaching sessions as needed.
To maintain a superior understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures, as well as an understanding of the credit union's mission and brand.
To present a professional image to credit union staff, contacts within the community, and on social media channels.
To plan and execute applicable communications to members and community members about the credit union’s outreach and education programs.
To accurately track and record social media engagement, lead generation, and outcomes.
Observe and recommend programs based on data and experience with members and the community.
Support communications of marketing, brand, and education with other credit union staff.
To represent the credit union’s brand and demonstrate SERVICE in the day-to-day business environment. The level of support for co-workers as well as outside members, clients, etc. through Solutions, Experience, Respect, Value, Integrity, Consistency, Empowerment.
Demonstrates an understanding of and follows established policies, practices, and regulations, including those defined by the Safe Act, BSA, Red Flag, Safety and all other regulatory and other designated programs and regulations. The ability to observe and correct areas of non-compliance and assist the organization in meeting defined standards and requirements.
