Salary $22.02 - $27.51 / Hourly
To strengthen and grow member and organizational relationships through quality and timely contact. Responsible for maintenance and growth of current relationships and for the development of new relationships with prospective members within the community and field of membership. Presents financial education and conducts financial coaching sessions for members and community members. Attends events in the community, representing the credit union to members and potential members. Outreach tasks include developing and managing engaging social media content. Assists with the facilitation and tracking of organizational volunteering and giving projects.

Develops, maintains, and deepens relationships with members, prospective members, city agencies, businesses, associations, and organizations, presenting information on available services and the credit union's purpose. Makes financial education and other credit union presentations at community groups, businesses, and enrollment meetings on behalf of the credit union. Attends community and business networking events both within and outside of business hours. Conducts financial coaching sessions. Supports branches and lending by connecting the departments to outreach efforts including but not limited to creating a steady stream of leads connected to credit union goals
Tracks and reports data related to outreach and engagement, including reporting on activities in the community, with partners and members, social media and online review sites. Assists in maintaining good presence on social media and crafts and manages content for social media channels.
Generates a steady stream of leads regarding membership, loans, and deposits through a variety of outreach strategies including callouts. Tracks and reports on these leads.
Participates in the development of promotional strategies to meet goals; makes recommendations for improvement based on community feedback; supports and executes promotions.
Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Duties and Tasks
Duties and tasks are varied but standardized. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
Supervision Given and Received
This role has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities. Receives moderate supervision and inspection of work. General instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.

Required Skills/ Knowledge:
Ability to analyze new business opportunities, deal-closing instincts, research skills and creativity for developing community promotions are necessary. Must have good written and oral communication skills. Public speaking skills. Able to utilize online programs and software efficiently to manage social media and lead pipeline. Strong organization skills. Acquires additional job skills to perform routine tasks.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before external auditors, members and employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts as applicable to apply procedures. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Responsibilities can be somewhat complex, requiring a significant degree of creativity and the ability to analyze data, weighing the possible outcomes in relationship to each other. Has the ability to work through complex problems by referencing previous precedent. The role has complexity which requires advanced or specialty training and/or experience. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills
Highly computer literate. Efficient with keyboard and computer and quickly learner on all software and websites. Strong working knowledge in utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, & Teams. Effective use of virtual meeting programs.
Certificates and Licenses
Ability to obtain organization sponsored Credit Union Financial Counselor certification within 6 months of hiring."
1. A two-year college degree, or, 2. Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Community Outreach team operates under a telecommute/remote work structure and is required to meet all provisions of the Remote Work Agreement. This structure is subject to change periodically or ongoing, based on the operational needs of the credit union. Every employee must be prepared to report to the credit union when required.
Essential duties are performed in a general office work environment and prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, copiers, and other business office machines and equipment. Essential duties may also involve occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, walking, crouching, stooping, and lifting to 30 pounds to move or stack items. To execute community promotions as needed and to meet established sales goals set for the position.
To present a professional image to credit union staff and all contacts in the community, communicating in an effective, timely, and appropriate manner.
To provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate services and support to all members, prospective members, and Denver Community staff.
To complete and communicate reports and records in an accurate and timely manner.
To analyze and recommend programs based on data and experience with members and the community.
To effectively ensure BSA compliance within area of responsibility, and demonstrate an understanding of and follows established policies, practices, and regulations, including those defined by the Safe Act, BSA, Red Flag, Safety and all other regulatory and other designated programs and regulations. The ability to observe and correct areas of non-compliance and assist the organization in meeting defined standards and requirements.
