Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Assist members with their consumer lending needs, analyzing loan requests and making credit decisions based on lending policy. Responsible for a variety of more complex loans and/or line of credit applications. Interviews loan applicants to determine credit needs. Collects and analyzes credit for financial data for loans. This is a fully experienced Consumer Lender able to analyze more complex loans. Processes Personal, Visa, LOC, Share Secured, and Secured (auto, specialty, recreational vehicle) loans, and Home Equity Lines of Credit.
Educate by providing both internal and external members with a full range of credit union loan products and services.
Deliver by using critical thinking to evaluate and determine the members’ credit worthiness. Determine terms and conditions of approved loans and reviews them with the member. Correspond with members, and applicants to resolve questions.
Achieve financial freedom for members through our products and education and keep the Credit Union safe by analyzing current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
Qualifications and skills
Experience-Two to five years of similar or related experience.
Education-A high school education or GED
Interpersonal Skills- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
