Job Overview:

Located in Denver, a mid-size credit union is in search of a Collections Manager to lead the Collections Department.  Responsibilities will include taking a proactive approach to collections by analyzing industry practices used to reduce delinquency trends, identifying historical patterns in the portfolio, and forecasting scenarios to establish benchmarks for the department. This individual will lead a team that capitalizes on technology to reduce delinquency and charge-off ratios and will provide statistical data to senior management on collections activities to help establish direction for the organization. Other areas of focus will include strengthening the organization’s collections policies and methods, maintaining the departmental budget and analytically assessing the direction of the portfolios. Successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and proven experience in establishing departmental direction, managing a robust collections operation and implementing innovative and creative strategies to reduce delinquency.


Skills/ Requirements:

A minimum of five years of collections management experience leading a diverse collections department among a broad range of loan products. An understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is a plus.
